As an initiative of the SDG goal of the month Life On Land, the staff and learners of AIPS visited the Mumbai Zoo on 2nd December 2022. On the morn of 2nd December our learners came all set for their field trip, we left for the zoo at 09.00 am ready to explore the Mumbai Zoo. On arrival we gathered the learners for a group picture and moved towards the adventure that awaited us. The learners were all amazed to experience the variety of animals, first we seen the gigantic Elephant then the cunning Wolf, the massive Sloth Bear, followed by the star of the show the Bengal Tiger who on arrival of our learners, majestically walked towards them giving our learners memories for a lifetime. It was then time for a quick break before we could see the Jackal, Hyena, Deer’s, Hippopotamus, the mischievous Monkeys and the adorable Penguins. As they stopped at each animal the facilitators explained to them about the animals and its special features. As the afternoon sun came overhead we paused for a quick lunch break, where the learners enjoyed their scrumptious meals and relaxed before beginning our second leap of the exploration. Then it was time for a tour of the Birds paradise where the learners caught a sight of diverse birds all of different colors, shapes and sizes. Their inquisitive minds were in wonder of this beautiful creation. The different types of Turtle too caught their attention. Finally it was time for the Aqua birds, who calmly moved around in their habitat.
As our exciting field trip came to an end our excited learners were happy and our hearts content from the wholesome experience that helped our learners appreciate the beauty of nature and have the learning of a lifetime.
