Auxilium International Pre – School celebrated its Firsr Annual day on 24th February 2023 in Sr. Berta Sperrfechter Hall tastefully decked up for the occasion. The hosts of the program were none other than our learners who exuberantly welcomed our Manager Sr. Magdeline Sequeira, our Principal Sr. Gloria Ferrao and our Chief Guest for the day Ms. Tasneem Dohadwalla, a trained IB and Cambridge Educator and a curriculum designer with multifaceted skills to her credit. Parents too joined in with a loud round of applause.
The program began with a prayer moment where we all invoked God’s blessings on us as the lamp was lit by the dignitaries along with the parent representatives of each class. As the learners led us into prayer we thanked God for all the blessings and graces we have been privileged to receive. The learners of Junior and Senior then gracefully presented a Lamp Dance which was followed by the prayers for various intentions by Sr. Sandra Fernandes our Supervisor. With a prayer song we concluded the prayer moment.
With the theme “Around the Globe” we ensured that all our performances illuminated light on the diversity and uniqueness of the world.
• Our learners in red and white looked smart and sprightly as they welcomed everyone for our Annual Day singing an Italian welcome action song ‘Adesso’.
• Sakura – The Cherry Blossom from Japan is a world known phenomenon and our learners depicted this beauty through the traditional dance around cherry blossoms when in its sublime glory: they danced with poise and elegance as they swayed to the tunes of the Japanese cultural song of the season.
• Parents are the epitome of love and our learners wished to express their gratitude for all that the parents do for them. Our learners emoted their melodious voices with a Korean song ‘Udi Appa’ and blew kisses in sync with the lyrics of the song to their father and mother in the audience.
• The Jungle skit had our learners dressed as animals of the jungle as they shared their journey towards their growth in the life skills and how they had to work hard to learn the various skills to survive in the Jungle, to conclude the skit the tiny tots of Nursery did a foot tapping Penguin dance. The skit delineated the journey of our learners’ right from the beginning of the scholastic year up till the present.
Each performance was appreciated by all as they cheered for the learners.
Ms. Abigail Tixeira the Academic Head then presented the Annual Report, a detailed presentation that encapsulated the multiple activities we carried out throughout the year in various fields like Academics, Sports, Assemblies, Competitions, Social, Cultural, Global, Co-curricular Activities, Performing Arts, Maiden Visits of the dignitaries and Celebration of International Events.
Ms. Tasneem Dohadwalla, our Chief Guest for the day was invited onstage. Our Chief Guest expressed her appreciation towards the efforts of the learners as well as the facilitators and encouraged the parents to be involved thoroughly in the learning process. The solemn moment of awarding our learners for their achievements and participation arrived. Along with our learners the parents too received certificates for their involvement in the parent-child activity of ‘Project on Countries’ – for the SDG goal – Life on Land and ‘Nurturing a Sapling’ based on the SDG Goal – Sustainable cities and communities.
As we drew towards the conclusion of the event the learners presented the vote of thanks. In chorus we sang the National Anthem and with that came to an end an eventful, fun filled and brilliant Annual Day of AIPS that gave out the message ‘To Grow Wherever We Go’.
