30th August 2022 was an auspicious day at AIPS as our dear Mother General Sr. Chiara Cazzuola encountered us while on her maiden visit to India. All the learners and facilitators at AIPS prepared various performances to put up for our dear Mother. The school too was decorated with colourful charts and attractive banners. Assisted by the facilitators, Mother General Sr. Chiara Cazzuola along with the councillors Sr. Runita Borja and Sr. Ruth Mora were welcomed at AIPS with a big warm welcome and the smiling and joyous faces of our learners. The short programme began with Ms. Abigail Tixeira welcoming all the sisters on behalf of AIPS. After that it was time to welcome Mother with an Italian action song ‘Adesso Adesso’ with pom poms which the learners performed with great zeal and enthusiasm. The learners then performed the Italian dance ‘Tarantella’ where before the dance one of our Senior K.G. learner welcomed Mother by saying “Ciao Madre” and then they performed the dance. All the sisters appreciated their efforts to learn Italian words. The last performance was the “Thank you” song. After all the performances, Mother General interacted with all our learners. The learners were intrigued to hear to her speak Italian, they were all smiles as Mother General blew kisses to them. Mother General then spoke to the facilitators and admired their dedication and hard work towards the learners and the school. We then came together to capture these beautiful memories and keep them close to AIPS.
