Every child is a unique flower with intrinsic beauty of its own. At AIPS we see these buds blooming into beautiful flowers each day. So, the occasion of Children’s Day on 14th November 2022 was the best opportunity to make our little ones feel special.
The day began with our assembly which was specially animated for the day; we prayed for all the children in the world especially the underprivileged. The assembly was followed by a short video on Children’s day that the learners watched carefully. After the video it was time for the highlight of the celebration, a thrilling dance performance by the facilitators. Our learners were surprised by this gesture of the facilitators and enjoyed the performance thoroughly. The performance ended with the birdie song where everyone joined in together and had a fun time.
The learners then moved back to their classes where the facilitators explained to them about Chacha Nehru and why we celebrate Children’s Day on 14th November each year. This was followed by the day’s creative art activity where the learners had to make a rose from kite paper. The facilitators assisted the learners for this activity and also explained the significance of the rose flower on this day. The learners worked intricately to make the flowers and flaunted them as they completed the activity. Each one received a neat pink cap as a gift and the delightful faces with caps on, were captured with the rose in their hands
It was time for some fun games. Each class played a different game, the Nursery played passing the ball, Junior K.G. played the hula hoop game and Senior K.G. played the Queen’s walk. The learners were engrossed in the games and participated with enthusiasm. The learners were excited to receive some sweets as gifts and extended their words of appreciation with a thank you spelt on their smiling faces.
